On 20^thJune, in order to promote cooperation with Belgium in leisure agriculture, Professor Gao Jiming, President of Belgium Golden Sea Agricultural Group and expert from HOME Program of China Association for Science and Technology visited CATAS at the company of Ms. Liang Haizhu, Director of International Department of Hainan Association for Science and Technology.

Workshop between Prof. Gao Jiming and CATAS counterparts

At the headquarters of CATAS in Haikou, professor Gao Jiming participated in a workshop and gave a presentation onCurrent Situation and Development Trend of Agriculture in China and Europe, introducing modern agriculture development in Europe, comparing the current situation of agricultural development between China and Europe, and underlining the development trend of modern agriculture. An in-depth exchange of knowledge on the development of modern agriculture and leisure agriculture was made among all participants. Mr. Liu Haiqing, Deputy Director of Division of International Cooperation under CATAS, said that CATAS as the HOME Program Workstation of Hainan Province would actively cooperate with Hainan Association for Science and Technology to sponsor the 2^ndChina-Europe Modern Leisure Agriculture Forum, and continue to carry out exchanges and cooperation on agricultural science and technology with other countries so as to enhance the exchanges and cooperation between each other.

After the workshop, Professor Gao Jiming and companions went to Spice and Beverage Research Institute for field visit.
