From 12th to 15th November, 2017, the Annual National Academic Conference on Tropical Crops was held in Guiyang in 2017. Nearly 500 scientists and technicians from all over the country have gathered together to share the latest research results and explore the trend of the development of science and technology. President of CATAS Pr. Wang Qinghuang attended and delivered an important speech on behalf of CATAS.
The theme of this academic annual meeting is "promoting the structural reform of the supply side of tropical agriculture". Six experts including Pr. Song Baoan from China Academy of Engineering presented the theme reports, nearly 80 experts presented special academic report, covering tropical crop germplasm resources, molecular breeding, cultivation, physiology and ecology, pest control and processing and storage and other fields, discussed in-depth on how to improve the yield and quality of tropical agricultural products, protect the tropical agricultural products green, healthy and safe development, to provide new ideas, new methods and new initiatives for the supply side structural reform of tropical agriculture.
