A plant regeneration system from protoplasts has been established. Plantlets are successfully regenerated from protoplasts of cell suspension cultures of rubber tree.Agrobacterium-mediated genetic transformation systems have been established for anther-derived calli of Reyan 7-33-97 and secondary embryos of Reyan 7-33-97 and Reyan 87-6-62. More than 1300 such plantlets received genespCAMBIA2301,AtCBF1andHbCBFas well as a promoter vector and a promoter of flowering gene through genetic transformation procedure.
