In September 2020. TheInternational Science and Technology Cooperation Awardof Hainan Province recognizes CIAT’s collaborative work with CATAS to drive innovation in tropical agriculture in the province. Since 1982, CATAS and CIAT have carried out scientific and technological cooperation in cassava and tropical forage. They have made remarkable achievements in the conservation of germplasm resources, variety cultivation and personnel training, and made important contributions to the scientific and technological progress and industrial development of tropical agriculture in China.
